Gérard Pierre-Charles

Since 1997, the Haiti Democracy Project's website has featured the writings of the brilliant Haitian intellectual and political leader Gérard Pierre-Charles. These are only a small fraction of his total work. Below are twenty-nine of his most illuminating texts from the website. Some reflect his involvement in the day-to-day struggle for change. On Caricom's support of Aristide in 2004 "Caricom has proved to be irresponsible, incredibly so. First, for Haiti, there has never been a policy.
