James Morrell showed a Powerpoint presentation of Haitians voting on February 7, 2006 highlighting their dedication in the face of considerable obstacles. The event was presented by the Caribbean Circle at American University. It was introduced by former national-security council official Robert Pastor, now vice-dean at American University, and included Robert Maguire of Trinity University, Eugenia Charles of Mapou Foundation, and Elizabeth Spehar of the Organization of American States. Ms. Spehar was a chief organizer of the ultimately-successful registration campaign in Haiti.
