The annual meeting of the socialists of Latin American and the Caribbean will take place this weekend in the Haitian capital. This initiative of the Socialist International of the Caribbean and Latin American (SICLA) is aimed bringing their support to the ongoing transition and at supporting the efforts of the socialist parties. Edmonde Beauzil, a member of the committee that is organizing the forum for the West and the SICLA meeting, commented at the microphone of Patrice Merisier. She explains that the Nationalistic Progressive Revolutionary Party of Haiti (Panpra) and the National Congress of Democratic Movements (Konakom) and Haiti Can signed a joint communique advising that they will merge into one big socialist party. She explains that they are at the final stage of the merger between Panpra, Konakom and Haiti Can. |
