The Convention for Democratic Unity, KID, yesterday launched a membership drive in Port-au-Prince. The purpose of this campaign is to register 50,000 new members over the next three months. On the same occasion, the KID leaders inaugurated their new premises and a training centre for party members. KID Secretary General Evans Paul officially launched the activities during a ceremony that took place in an election campaign atmosphere. Participants in this ceremony, notably KID supporters, described KID leader Evans Paul as the next Haitian president. Several leaders of other political parties and members of the diplomatic corps attended the ceremony.
