As you are aware, Haiti is facing a dire humanitarian
crisis. Families in Haiti are in urgent need of your
assistance. This past week, torrential rains hit the
island of Hispaniola, unleashing floods and
devastating mudslides. Two thousand people have been
reported killed in the border region between Haiti and
the Dominican Republic, half of them in one Haitian
town. More flooding is expected, leaving the
population in great need of money, food, and medical
supplies.
The Haiti Democracy Project is urging the Haitian
community to support fundraising drives on behalf of
the Haitian flood victims who have lost families and
whose homes have been destroyed in towns across Haiti.
More information will be posted here shortly. Let’s make this drive a successful one.
