Professor Micha Gaillard has reacted to the accusations of Lavalas partisans who attribute acts of violence to his political coalition. Gaillard says the prime minister spoke recently of a risk of civil war. Gaillard adds, however, that there cannot be war without weapons in two opposing camps. He goes on to say that Lavalas knows that there are weapons in only one camp: the Lavalas camp. Gaillard therefore denies the accusation regarding the Convergence’s involvement in the attack on the Lascahobas Police Station and other cases of violence, contrary to statements by Lavalas officials
